Jim Murdoch, PhD, Director
Dr. Murdoch is a professor of Economics and Public Policy in the School of Economic, Political, and Policy Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas. He is currently a Senior Fellow at the J. McDonald Williams Institute.  His research is now focused in urban economics and concerns the application of spatial analysis, spatial econometrics, and economic theory to local economic growth and development. 

 

Nathan Berg, PhD, Director of Science
Dr. Berg is Director of Science at the Williams Institute's Center for Urban Economics and Associate Professor of economics in the School of Economic, Political, and Policy Sciences (EPPS) at University of Texas-Dallas. He has published numerous articles, was a Fulbright Scholar in 2003, and his research has been cited in Business Week, Canada's National PostThe Village Voice, The Advocate, and Atlantic Monthly.  For more information, please visit http://utdallas.edu/~nberg/.

Timothy Bray, PhD, Director, J. McDonald Williams Institute
Dr. Bray's fields of expertise include quantitative methods, policing, social context of community, geographic information sciences, and criminology, and holds a doctorate in criminology and criminal justice.  He was instrumental in the Institute's launch of the Wholeness Index, a comprehensive index of disparities in quality of life that taps 12 key dimensions of social dislocation.  He also serves on the faculty of the University of Texas at Dallas.
